What they'll actually do
During a typical session, students may:
- Build and modify simple robots from a kit
- Test their design against a weekly challenge
- Troubleshoot when something doesn’t work as expected
- Work with a partner or small team
- Adjust the design and try again
What this experience involves
These describe the experience itself — not whether it's right for your child.
- Hands-on making
- Problem solving
- Small-group teamwork
- Iteration
- Friendly competition
If they try it, notice…
- Do they want to keep adjusting the design when it doesn’t work?
- Do they enjoy building something with their hands?
- Do they like solving the challenge with other kids?
- Do they want to talk about what they built afterward?
You don't need all of these to be true. Trying something is useful even when it doesn't click.
